The Result

The project integrated seamlessly with the existing home through two exterior break-through doorways, matching roof and siding materials, and refinished hardwood flooring. The walk-in closet featured a 36-inch accessible doorway, new hardwood flooring to match the bedroom, recessed lighting, and natural light from a new window. Additional work included converting existing living space into the primary bedroom with updated lighting and refinished floors, installation of a field-built stained wood handrail on the main-to-second-floor staircase, and rough grading of the side yard for future landscaped stairs to the basement level. The addition was outfitted with a new ductless split HVAC system to ensure year-round comfort.
