The name Natalie is woven into the very foundation of MOSS Building & Design.

In 2001, Jason and Pete Hampel founded the company and named it after Pete’s beloved father, Paul “Moss” Hampel. After retiring, Moss became the trusted neighborhood contractor and the one everyone turned to. People would simply say, “Ask Moss… he can do anything.” And he usually could.

But behind Moss was Natalie.

Natalie wasn’t the one swinging the hammer, yet she was the heart behind the work. She cared deeply about the families Moss served. She wanted every homeowner to feel heard, respected, and truly taken care of. For her, remodeling wasn’t just about improving a house, it was about improving the lives inside it.

We named this AI tool after Natalie because she represents the spirit of care that built this company. She would have loved knowing we could now help even more families by answering questions, offering guidance, and making the remodeling journey feel less overwhelming and more personal.

Natalie is more than a name. She is our legacy of care!
