The Vision Behind This Project
The Challenge
This comprehensive kitchen remodeling project in Chantilly, VA transformed a compartmentalized cooking space into an open-concept kitchen and dining area. The renovation involved removing multiple interior walls, including the load-bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room, which required custom structural engineering and the installation of a dropped beam with support posts.

Kitchen
The kitchen balances enduring craftsmanship with a refined, custom aesthetic. Semi-custom cabinetry built with all-plywood construction forms the backbone of the space, featuring full overlay fronts, dovetail drawers, and full-extension soft-close glides — details that speak to both durability and everyday ease. A custom painted finish and carefully selected cabinet hardware give the cabinetry a tailored, one-of-a-kind character. Bianco Diamante granite countertops with a standard eased edge bring natural movement and depth to the surfaces, grounded by a custom tile backsplash that adds visual texture and personality. At the sink, a Delta Hyde faucet and matching soap dispenser in bronze anchor the workspace with understated warmth, paired with an RVU6320 undermount kitchen sink for a clean, seamless countertop line. Underfoot, client-supplied tile flooring transitions thoughtfully into patched hardwood, carefully matched to the home's original finishes to create a cohesive flow between old and new.
