Franklin Street Project

This flat roof restoration project in Alexandria, VA involved comprehensive repair and replacement of a deteriorated deck roof system. The project included removing and replacing damaged roof framing, rubber roofing membrane, and sheathing on the flat roof area. A cricket was constructed along the third-floor wall where it meets the neighboring property's attached roof to improve drainage and prevent future water damage. New flashing and a rebuilt pan gutter system with an upgraded downspout were installed to ensure proper water management. The existing deck railing was removed and replaced with composite white railings, and interior ceiling damage in the bedroom below the deck was repaired and patched. All work was executed to meet local building codes and included necessary architectural, engineering, and design services along with permit acquisition and inspection compliance.
