The Result

Beyond the kitchen, the project extended throughout the main level with extensive hardwood flooring work, including patching, tooth-in work to accommodate the new layout, and complete sanding and finishing to create a cohesive floor throughout the space. The laundry room and mudroom were elevated with new ceramic tile flooring and thoughtful storage solutions, including custom closets with specialized configurations—one featuring an angled wall with fixed shelves and another in the mudroom with a pole and shelf system. The laundry area received stacked Miele washer and dryer units with a utility sink and cabinet. Interior door modifications included the installation of pocket doors, single doors, and double doors to optimize traffic flow. Staircase refinishing on both the front and back stairs integrated seamlessly with the new flooring to complete this elegant whole-home transformation.
