The Result

The addition was built on a slab-on-grade foundation with CMU or poured concrete basement walls, pre-manufactured roof trusses, and energy-efficient vinyl windows and sliding glass doors throughout. Interior work in the newly divided bedrooms included HVAC duct extensions, electrical installation with recessed lighting, insulation meeting current energy codes, drywall finishing, trim carpentry with six-panel hollow core doors, professional painting, and pre-finished red oak hardwood flooring. The project also involved complete re-roofing of both the main house and detached garage, installation of new gutters and downspouts, and construction of a decorative gable feature on the attached garage roof. All work was performed to meet or exceed county building codes with a phased construction approach to minimize disruption to the homeowners.
