The Challenge
This comprehensive residential remodel in Fairfax Station transformed a home's upper level by adding a second-story office over the existing great room and completely renovating two upstairs bathrooms. The project included extensive structural work with engineered floor systems, custom framing for a coffered ceiling in the great room, and sound-dampening Rockwool insulation throughout. The new office features custom built-in cabinetry from Hampshire, colonial crown molding, recessed LED lighting with dimmer controls, and plush Shaw carpet in Quiet Sanctuary Butter Cream. The space was designed with full electrical infrastructure including dedicated circuits and provisions for a homeowner-provided ceiling fan.
