The Vision Behind This Project
MOSS Building & Design completed a comprehensive basement finishing project in Manassas, VA, transforming approximately 926 square feet of unfinished space into a functional, multi-purpose living area. The project included the creation of a modern kitchenette with custom cabinetry and tile backsplash, a full bathroom with tile flooring and glass shower enclosure, and a comfortable study area. The renovation featured new staircase components with standard trim details, strategic flooring transitions including tile at the exterior entrance and kitchenette area with carpet throughout the remaining living spaces, and a complete electrical system with thoughtfully placed outlets including accommodations around existing structural elements. The scope encompassed all necessary structural work, insulation to meet county requirements, drywall installation, interior trim and doors, and complete plumbing and electrical systems. The project successfully navigated the City of Manassas permitting process and received all required inspections, resulting in a fully finished basement that expands the home's living space and functionality.
