The Story
The Vision Behind This Project
The Challenge
The Sylvan Drive project encompassed a comprehensive main-level renovation, with the kitchen and powder room serving as the twin focal points of the transformation. MOSS guided the homeowners through a full gut-and-rebuild of the kitchen — new cabinetry, countertops, tile, and a complete appliance suite — while simultaneously reimagining the powder room with refined plumbing fixtures and thoughtful finish details. Structural work, including footings, concrete, framing, and roofing, established a solid foundation, while updated electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems brought the home's infrastructure fully up to date.

Kitchen The kitchen strikes a balance between function and considered design, anchored by custom cabinetry paired with Ferguson Cabinet Hardware M1281 — a pull the homeowners selected and sourced themselves. Countertops provide a durable, elegant work surface, while a tile backsplash at the coffee bar adds texture and visual interest. The sink package, sourced through Ferguson, brings together the RVH8277 kitchen sink, a dedicated kitchen faucet, and a fully integrated water filtration system — complemented by a Ferguson Air Switch 76696, Power Cord CRD-EZ, and an 80022-ISE garbage disposal for a clean, uncluttered installation. Appliances include a cooktop, wall oven, hood, dishwasher, and refrigerator, creating a complete and cohesive cooking suite. A Ferguson Wall Sconce 84430LCB in lacquered cabinet bronze adds a warm, finished note to the space.
Powder Room A pedestal sink sets a classic tone in the powder room, paired with a Kohler K-35953-4-BN vanity faucet in brushed nickel for a refined, understated look. Accessories follow suit: a Kohler K-21955-BN towel ring and coordinating paper holder maintain the brushed nickel thread throughout, while a robe hook — Ferguson 500749 — adds a practical finishing touch. The room was completed with fresh paint, repaired drywall, and a dimmer-switched light, bringing every detail into alignment before handoff.
