The Story
The Vision Behind This Project
The Challenge
The Long Hill Lane project centered on a home addition and comprehensive dual-bathroom remodel, transforming the existing master bath and a secondary bathroom into refined, thoughtfully appointed spaces. The scope included structural and architectural work to support the new addition, complete plumbing and electrical rough-in, tile installation, cabinetry, countertops, and all finish selections — carried through from framing to final trim. A new egress window was introduced in the addition, and the master bath entry was reimagined with a custom barn door in place of a standard panel door.

Master Bathroom The master bathroom was designed around a sense of warmth and cohesion, anchored by Hampshire Gentry cabinetry in Maple Coffee with a custom 72 x 36 framed mirror to match. Vanity surfaces are finished in Calacatta Laza stone from Euro Stone Craft, and Amerock Kane cabinet pulls in Oil Rubbed Bronze carry the rich tonal palette through to the hardware. Kohler Caxton undermount sinks are paired with Delta Haywood 8-inch widespread faucets in Oil Rubbed Bronze, while the shower system brings together a Delta Linden non-thermostatic valve trim, a Delta In2ition hand-held shower head, and a coordinating Delta shower arm and flange — all in Oil Rubbed Bronze for a unified, layered finish. The shower is enclosed with 3/8-inch clear glass panels from Dulles Glass and Mirror, fitted with standard handles, clips, and an Oil Rubbed Bronze frame. Accessories throughout — Delta Linden towel bar, towel ring, paper holder, and robe hook — maintain the finish consistency, joined by a Kohler Highline two-piece toilet with a Kohler Cachet seat and a Delta Cassidy toilet tank lever in Oil Rubbed Bronze. The space is ventilated by a Panasonic WhisperValue exhaust fan, and a custom barn door — selected from the WOME1002 collection — gives the entry a distinctive, design-forward moment. Kohler Devonshire vanity lighting in Bronze completes the room.
Bathroom Drawing from a softer, more neutral palette, the secondary bathroom pairs Hampshire Gentry cabinetry in Maple Coffee with Calacatta Laza stone countertops and Amerock Kane cabinet pulls in a complementary finish. Kohler Caxton undermount sinks are fitted with Delta Haywood 8-inch widespread faucets in stainless steel, and the shower is outfitted with a Delta Linden non-thermostatic shower valve and a Delta In2ition hand-held shower head. A ProFlo Folsom 60 x 32 soaking tub anchors the room, complete with a Kohler Clearflo tub and shower drain in brushed nickel. Accessories — Delta Linden towel bar, towel ring, and paper holder in stainless — bring quiet consistency to the space, alongside a Kohler Highline two-piece toilet with a Bemis toilet seat. The Kohler Verdera swing-door medicine cabinet serves both as mirror and storage. Kohler Devonshire three-bulb vanity lighting in brushed nickel and a Panasonic WhisperValue exhaust fan round out the finish package.
Interior Finishes Soft underfoot and warm in tone, the carpet selection — Natural Splendor II in Hearth Beige 518, sourced through MOSS Flooring — brings a grounded, residential comfort to the living areas of the addition.
