The Result

The scope included extensive interior and exterior finishing work, with ten new Energy Star-rated vinyl double-hung windows with transoms, a full-light back door, and vinyl siding to match existing. Interior improvements featured raising and leveling the existing family room floor to match the kitchen height, installing 3-1/4" Brazilian cherry hardwood flooring with custom staining in the dining room and refinished family room, and new carpet in the basement addition. Mechanical systems were extended throughout, including HVAC ductwork, relocated sump pump and drainage, electrical service with recessed lighting and exterior coach lights, and updated gas line work. The existing deck and stairs were removed, with provisions for future deck construction including exterior lighting rough-in.
