Designed to feel like a seamless extension of the home's existing architecture, the screened porch addition draws its character from a carefully curated palette of natural and composite materials. Three-quarter inch straight-cut stone veneer — matched precisely to the front porch — runs across the floors, stairs, and knee walls, grounding the space with a sense of continuity and permanence. Bluestone caps crown the knee walls with a refined, clean-lined finish that complements the stone below. The exterior envelope is clad in James Hardie Arctic White board and batten siding, while composite materials handle the fascia, soffit, rake boards, and the wrapping of the post and beam structure — ensuring lasting durability without sacrificing the tailored look of painted wood. A custom built-in bookcase, also finished in composite, adds a bespoke touch that makes the space feel as considered as any interior room. Overhead, a paint-grade beadboard ceiling lends warmth and a classic coastal sensibility, while a fiberglass screening system keeps the views open and the sightlines clean.

Eight Velux fixed skylights flood the addition with natural light throughout the day, and a vinyl full screen door provides easy, breezy access to the outdoors.
