The Challenge
This comprehensive kitchen, mudroom, and bar renovation in Vienna, VA transformed three interconnected spaces into a cohesive, high-functioning living area. The project involved removing structural elements including an interior wing wall and knee wall to open up the kitchen layout, while carefully preserving and reinstalling three existing kitchen windows and a French door. New exterior openings were created, including installation of homeowner-provided sidelites and an arched transom at the French door, plus a six-window mulled unit in the kitchen. The scope included complete demolition of existing cabinetry, countertops, and flooring across all three areas, followed by installation of custom cabinetry with specialized features like a TV lift system integrated into the kitchen island.
