The Result

The 220-square-foot porch features pressure-treated decking with three risers and custom handrails, complemented by vinyl bead-board ceiling treatment and wood soffit, fascia, and rake boards matching the existing home's exterior. Lattice skirting provides a finished appearance beneath the porch. The electrical package includes three recessed lights, two coach light fixtures, and a ceiling fan on dual switches, plus integrated wiring for the homeowner's security camera system. All posts, decking, ceiling, and trim were finished with one coat of primer and two coats of high-quality stain in the homeowner's selected colors. Seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts were installed to protect the new structure and tie into the existing drainage system.
